Govt finally raised the energy prices that were frozen at 2012 levels so energy bills will be 2-3 times higher (sometimes even more than that). They also removed a taxing method used by a lot of entrepreneurs who will have to pay much more tax from now on. They also raised the salary of policemen and soldiers.

Thatcher in the early 1980s raised the salaries of the police before using them to break the miners strikes.
